Save a Life: Recognizing & Responding to Anaphylaxis (NY State specific), 2024-2025
Note: This course is for individuals to fulfill the training requirements under New York State laws that allow entities to keep undesignated (or "stock") epinephrine for use in an emergency.
In this Save a Life training, you will learn about the importance of using epinephrine, as well as when and how to use different auto-injectors to save a life. The training begins with a 10 minute introductory video and outlines the basics of a food allergy reaction and using epinephrine. Then, you will learn about the different auto-injectors currently available and how to use them properly. Each auto-injector training is approximately 2-3 minutes. At the end of this course you will be given a brief knowledge check and must score 100% to obtain your certificate.
