Beyond the Top 9: Navigating Labels, Hidden Allergens and the Recent FDA Guidance

Join us June 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. ET

The food allergy community is well-versed in navigating labels for the top 9 food allergens—but what about beyond the top 9?

Join us at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, June 2, for an illuminating overview of food allergen labeling. Topics will include reviewing the most recent changes in 2025 to the FDA labeling guidance for what is considered “top 9,” the breadth of food allergens known to elicit IgE response beyond the top 9, the potential ramifications of new plant-based food colors, and U.S. ingredient rules and labeling challenges. The webinar will then move to a question-and-answer dialogue to discuss non-top 9 food allergens, how to find them in food labeling, and how to advocate for answers from manufacturers when one’s food allergen may not be listed clearly.

This live webinar “Beyond the Top 9” awards 1 CPEU in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s CPEU Prior Approval Program.
